The Word Splash Puzzle Player allows playing word search puzzles on a Windows computer. The puzzle player software is fun and easy to use. It can be used on a single computer or on multiple networked computers where players can compete for the best times. Use it to play your individual Word Splash Pro saved puzzles (WSP files), or download complete puzzle packs that are ready to play. You can even save a partially solved puzzles and return to them later.

The latest puzzle player software includes the following new interface features:

• Best times are saved so you can compete with yourself or others
• Status images let you know which puzzles have been played and which have saved sessions.
• Puzzle Pack Installation allows easily adding more puzzles to your computer.
• A Puzzle Pack selector allows quickly jumping between puzzle packs and puzzle folders.
• Print and PDF buttons are included with some puzzle packs.
• The Size menu now includes an Automatic size setting so the largest size grid will always display.
• The text entry area only displays when needed for the puzzle, and is disabled when not applicable.
• New "Random" sound setting will play a different sound each time a word is circled.
• Supports new formatted Notes text added in Word Splash Pro version 8.

The new Properties Window allows setting up the software on a computer:

• You can create a list of player names. These are saved with the best times and to save incomplete puzzle sessions.
• You can select which sounds are available.
• You can select which win animations are available.
• You can assign locations for the saved files so people can play on networked computers.
• Turn on and off features like the Solve button, Best Time feature, Saving of incomplete puzzle sessions, Extra files in the load window, the Print and PDF buttons and the puzzle status display in the load window.
• Assign an optional default starting folder, or force only a particular folder.
• Password protect the properties window.

New features for Word Splash Pro Puzzle Authors:

• Puzzle Packs can be assigned a Product Name.
• Puzzle Packs can optionally include printable files for puzzles.
• Puzzle Packs can optionally include PDF files for puzzles.
• Puzzle Packs can include a License Agreement or Readme file that displays when first accessed.
• Puzzle Packs can include extra document files and web links in the load window.
  
• The software can now be placed directly on a CD and run without an installation process.
• Default properties can be assigned to puzzle packs.
• An advanced help document will help you manually prepare your Puzzle Packs.
• Use the Word Splash Pro Power Pack to automate the creation of Puzzle Packs, automatically generating printable versions of the puzzles or PDF files for the puzzles.
